MyMetaStories Festival Returns for its Second Edition with 20 European Films

MyMetaStories Festival in Minecraft

The innovative European film festival, MyMetaStories, is set to launch its second edition between 11 October and 3 November. Organized by Unifrance and supported by the Creative Europe – MEDIA programme, the festival aims to introduce European cinema to a younger audience, including gamers, through their own technology and universe.

Virtual Film Experience

During the festival, cinephiles can access 20 films from 14 European countries on over 30 partner VOD platforms. Additionally, from 18 to 21 October, viewers can experience the festival within Minecraft. Films include feature films showcased at major festivals and short films subtitled in six languages.

Immersive Experience in Minecraft

One of the feature films, “R U There” by David Verbeek, will be screened in Minecraft, along with all the short films. Each film will have its immersive projection room, providing a visual experience inspired by pixel art. Players will embark on an adventure in search of the moon from Georges Méliès’ famous movie “A Trip to the Moon,” exploring the history of European cinema.
